In its most basic form coaching helps you identify a goal and then create a plan to reach that goal by helping you identify your obstacles and find motivation to create change. The International Coaching Federation (ICF) puts it like this, “Coaching isn’t about convincing you. It’s about empowering you to find your own answers.” I provide the space and curiosity and you do all the heavy lifting.

As a Certified Professional Coach through iPEC, part of my training is to identify where my boundaries end as a coach and to recommend clinical work when appropriate. If your issues are disrupting your personal or professional life, you should consider working with a therapist. The most basic way it was put to me was this, therapy takes you from non functional to functional and coaching takes you from functional to optimal.

ACC stands for Associate Certified Coach which comes from the International Coaching Federation aka the ICF. In order to receive this accreditation, I had to go through an extensive schooling and testing process. You can check out the ICF accreditation standards and practices here.
Yes. Totally. Anyone can say they’re a coach and a lot of people do! But it takes a lot of time and work to obtain and ICF accreditation and you should absolutely look for a vetted coach when tryin to find someone to work with.
Testimonials
Christine is a natural at coaching. She’s insightful, inspirational and nurturing. Before I worked with her my mornings consisted of coffee on the couch, lots of screen time, not getting dressed for hours then scrambling to get to work on time. She helped me put together a schedule for my mornings that is a day maker!

Christine is an excellent listener. She helped me find and focus on my most important concern related to relocating from Portland. Her perspective was extremely helpful. Together we came up with some action steps which I utilized and gave me some peace of mind.
